I had a truly enjoyable stay at this hotel. the value for money was outstanding - I got much more than I expected for the price I paid. Secondly, the attention to detail was impeccable, from the well-maintained rooms with lovely large balconies, to the basic amenities like AC that made my stay comfortable. Lastly, the location of the hotel on the beach, on the way from Galle to Hikkaduwa, was simply perfect.
No major issues, everything was absolutely fine.

The Oriental Rest in Hikkaduwa is a traditional establishment with a quaint building and exceptional views. The breakfast was outstanding and the family who owns and operates the place is lovely, with warm smiles and a genuine pride in their country. The hotel is small with only 4 rooms, but the owners are friendly and welcoming. The beachfront location is special, with comfortable sunbeds and beautiful views all day long. The rooms have everything you need and the overall experience was great.
Can't think of anything.

I recently stayed at a beachfront hotel on the beautiful coast of Sri Lanka. The hotel's location was perfect - nestled between the bustling city of Galle and the vibrant town of Hikkaduwa. It offered a tranquil spot away from the crowds, yet still easily accessible. The rooms were comfortable, complete with amenities such as air conditioning and lovely large balconies, providing a cozy and relaxing retreat. The staff at this hotel were exceptional, going above and beyond to ensure a memorable stay. The service was attentive and the team was always ready to assist with any requests, from organizing transportation to recommending local attractions. And I must mention the generous breakfast included in the stay - it was not only delicious but also a great way to start the day with a taste of the local cuisine.
Everything was just fine, no complaints at all.

I recently had an amazing stay at a small hotel on the southern coast of Sri Lanka. The location was perfect - right on the beach and conveniently situated between Galle and Hikkaduwa. The staff at this hotel were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make sure I had a comfortable stay. The rooms were clean and well-furnished, with lovely large balconies and both AC and fans. The attention to detail was impressive, from the beautiful old furniture to the well-selected fruit plates at breakfast. Speaking of breakfast, it was absolutely delicious and included in the room rate. It was a great value for money experience, and I would highly recommend staying at this hotel if you're looking for a beachfront getaway in Sri Lanka.
Everything was more than okay.

The hotel was in a great location right on the beach and close to some of the best restaurants and attractions in the area. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, always willing to offer recommendations and advice for things to see and do. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with everything we needed for our stay. We also appreciated the complimentary breakfast and free Wi-Fi.
The hotel was a bit pricey for what we got, but considering the prime location and quality of service, it was still a good value overall. The other downside was that there was no pool, which would have been a nice amenity to have on hot days.

Great experience during my business trip at this wonderful hotel by the beach. I loved the amazing breakfast with fresh fruits and a variety of choices for a tasty meal to start the day. the beach-facing rooms are a huge plus, offering a wonderful view every morning and night. the location is perfect with easy access to nearby cafes and restaurants, adding to the convenience of staying at this place.
The shower pressure could be improved. Although not a major issue, it can be a bit frustrating when trying to take a quick shower before heading out for the day.
